Al’s Contracting (Division of 848875 Alberta Ltd.)

Al’s Contracting (a division of 848875 Alberta Ltd.) was started in 1999 in the Lac La Biche area by Allan and Jackie Przysiezny (pronounced: Pre-zez-nee). The company began with one Caterpillar D6, followed a few months later with a water truck. Early on they provided support service to the oil & gas companies doing early exploration work in the oilsands areas around Conklin and Fort McMurray, Alberta. Both Allan and wife Jackie are of Metis heritage and the company maintains one of the highest percentages of Aboriginal worker content in Alberta, which we are proud of and continues to this day!

While being a local, family-owned Aboriginal contractor has helped Al’s Contracting in procuring some of their new work and customers, their exceptional growth is also attributed to their impeccable record of safety, quality work and efficient production. Truly one of the first “SQP” cultures in Alberta. Al’s Contracting safety and service culture has evolved into being second to none. Over the past 16 years the company has developed, in the words of one major energy firm, “a trust-based relationship” which has resulted in many of the major oilsands SAGD operators/developers calling only on Al’s Contracting for advice in pre-planning and service in final execution of intricate work plans.

Many of Al’s Contracting clients are oilsands and SAGD energy companies, however, forestry companies, pipeline operators, land developers, county and municipal government, and many departments of the Government of Alberta, including SRD, Environment and Transportation all count on Al’s Contracting for safe, quality, efficient SERVICE!

Al's Contracting is now offering the following services at their Lac La Biche Shop:

  • CVIP's
  • Welding (including aluminum, stainless and TIG)
  • Fabricating
  • Tractor Trailer / Heavy Equipment Repairs

*Red Seal Mechanic

*Red Seal Welder with 30 yrs experience and CWB certified

Al's Contracting is pleased to announce that we are now Selling and Hauling Sand and Gravel from our four Pits in the Conklin area.

Al’s Contracting is your Hauling, Earthworks and Environmental SOLUTION PROVIDERS. Our SERVICE oriented, safe, professional workplace culture is further defined by our:

Center Fire

On time, On budget, Four basic words that , in some instances, seem to have a broad span of interpretation. But not at Centerfire. Even before our formal incorporation, we had an intrinsic understanding of the underlying principles that would guide the operation of our company, and how these principles would impact the strength of our client relationships. As a service oriented company, the cornerstone that we would build the Centerfire foundation on simply came down to this: to provide the best possible product and service that we can. As simple as that may appear, it is to no one’s surprise how many hurdles have to be cleared to reach this objective. Right from the start, we employed an intuitive strategy of rapid growth and expansion, not only to enhance our capabilities, but to also demonstrate to our clients our unwavering drive and determination.

NEC Construction Ltd

The foundation of NEC Construction Ltd. has been in the construction industry for over 30 years, successfully building its reputation in the Oil and Gas sector. Mr. Albert Benson and his family have built the operation from the ground up and have seen many changes throughout the years, enabling a best practice strategy in the completion of projects for a diverse clientele. NEC has been headquartered for several years out of Lac La Biche and Conklin, with a recently added location - Whitecourt.

NEC merged with SL Oilfield Construction Ltd (owned and operated by Shannon Seguin from Whitecourt). SL Oilfield serviced West Central Alberta for 15 years and was instrumental in constructing roads, leases, and several major reclamation projects throughout the region. Previous to this, Mr. Seguin owned an environmental company based out of Slave Lake. He utilized his environmental degree to clean up spills, sample and treat drilling sumps, as well as complete reclamations on contaminated properties.

The expertise from both companies have collaborated to bring together a single company with a broad range of skills and abilities across Alberta. Operations have expanded from the Oil and Gas sector to provide quality services to utility and federal organizations as well.

No job is too big or too small!
